Pets lost in Georgia floods still unclaimed
Shelters in Georgia are still caring for pets that were displaced by recent flooding in Georgia.
MARIETTA, GA -- The floods that devastated neighborhoods in Cobb County displaced hundreds of families from their homes and also displaced pets from their owners.
More than 70-displaced animals were rescued in Cobb County at the height of the flooding. Many of those animals were claimed by their owners but several are still unclaimed.
Finding homes for those unclaimed animals is a top priority for Cobb County Animal Control. Those 16-animals are being held separate from other animals at the county's animal shelter until their owners claim them.
